Markus Monak is a 23 year old Estonian dancer, choreographer and creative director. Starting his dancing career in a small dance school in Eastern Europe to collecting knowledge from Northern America, he is now one of the most recognized choreographers and dancers in the country.

 

Currently he is a Choreography undergraduate at Baltic Film, Media and Arts School and directing his own dance company Ian Dance Company.

From 2019 to 2020, he was in California, dancing in Shannon Mather’s professional dance programme “Bridge Into The Industry”. Taking a 2 year gap to build his company, he returned to the US to join the CLI Conservatory, directed by world-renowned choreographer Teddy Forance.

Markus has mostly trained in lyrical and hip-hop styles, but being fully versatile as a dancer, he takes all the knowledge to create something to his own taste. In the recent years, he is more focused in hip-hop commercial work and concert world.
